2009 marks our seventh year playing in Salinas as a member of the National Premier Soccer League. The NPSL is affiliated with the United States Adult Soccer Association and F.I.F.A, the world governing body for soccer. Our team is comprised of the best players in the region ranging from King City to San Jose - but most are from the Salinas Valley. We play a year-round schedule that includes NPSL league games and matches against visiting teams from across the United States and Mexico. Monterey County is home to a huge and passionate soccer community. 41 new fields are now in the planning stages, including a new soccer-specific stadium for Salinas. The role of the Samba in the Salinas Valley is threefold: (1) to act as a beacon of hope and opportunity for thousands of local players (2) to provide exciting and affordable outdoor entertainment to our community (3) to use Samba players as prime examples of successful role models to educate and inspire our children into leading healthier lives. Sponsoring a Samba player means linking your business with the most popular game in the world, and to the premier sports team on the Central Coast. You’ll also receive 10 - 2009/2010 passes; 50- game day tickets; your name/logo will be on all programs and school brochures; and will be hyperlinked from the Samba team website through 2010.
